Entrepreneurial Summer Program: At MIBS, we offer students an intenship oppurtunity that provides deep insight in to the day-to-day activities of your early - stage company while under the guidance of an executive mentor.
Projects: Independent projects in enterprise complement the classroom based courses by providing second year MBA students the opportunity to apply their skills to the real world challenges facing enterprises.
At MIBS Megafest, the students from various management colleges across Chennai participate in this mega competition. SKILL TRAINING SESSIONS:
Companies are looking for candidates who are smart and can present themselves well. Soft skills give finishing touch to the personality. It includes communication skills, interpersonal skills, group dynamics, team work, body language, etiquettes, selling skills, presentation skills, confidence building etc,. At MIBS, special traning on soft skills along with grammar, pronounciation and vocabulary exercises will be given which can boost up the confidence of students.
VALUE ADDITION CERTIFICATION COURSES:
Like a taste-tester at an ice cream shop, short courses can allow students to sample the wares before they buy. Many short courses can be accredited if the situation requires students to further their qualifications. Short courses can be the ideal way to gain the skills and also an easy transition into Certificate courses. Add-on courses in MIBS are SAP, premium communication modules, entrepreneurship development, PGPM and Six-Sigma certification courses.
Helping to mitigate the social effects of the crisis is a part of the social responsibility at MIBS. In the longer term, corporate social responsibility offers a set of values on which to build a more cohesive society and on which to base the transition to a sustainable economic system. By renewing efforts to promote CSR, now our college aims to create conditions favorable to sustainable growth, responsible business behaviour and lasting job creation for the medium and long-term. Our students participated in a Raly on the Late Dr. Abdul Kalam sir's birthday and the key information passed to society is to plant trees and free samplings were distributed to public on that particular day.
This involves in the determination of one's own rating with reference to a standard scale. Evaluation of one's own character, traits, behaviour is very important and it is used as a tool in MIBS to quantify student's perception of themselves.
Today's students need to know only the basic reading and arithmetic skills, but also skills that will allow them to face a world that is continually changing. They must be able to think critically, to analyze and to make inferences. Changes in the skills based and knowledge our students need require new learning goals; these new learning goals change the relationship between assessment and instruction. In MIBS, faculties take an active role in making decisions about the purpose of assessment and the content that is being assessed.
